Delete Your Account

You can delete your SasaRide account at any time from inside the app. Open SasaRide, go to Account, then Account actions, and tap Delete account. Confirm when asked. Your account is deleted straight away and you are signed out on every device.

This works the same for riders and drivers. If you are a driver, your driver profile, documents and vehicle are removed with your account.

Finish or cancel any trip in progress first: an account cannot be deleted during an active ride. Any upcoming scheduled bookings are cancelled automatically when you delete your account.

Your SasaRide wallet must be at zero. If you have money in your wallet or an outstanding balance, settle it first or contact us and we will help you before the account is deleted.

Your name, phone number, email address and profile photo, your saved places, your trusted contacts, your trip chat messages and your conversations with Eve, your sign-in and every active session, and your push notification tokens. The phone number or email address and the content of messages we sent you are removed from our delivery records.

For drivers, also your identity and licence documents, your driver profile and application, and your vehicle registration. Driver invitations you sent to other people are deleted.

Records of completed trips, payments, wallet transactions and ratings are kept for accounting, tax, dispute handling and regulatory requirements, but they are anonymized: they are no longer linked to your name, phone number or any other detail that identifies you.

Information we are required by law to keep, for example trip records reported to the Land Transport Regulatory Authority (LATRA), is kept for the period the law requires. See our Privacy Policy for details.

If you no longer have the app or cannot sign in, email support@sasaride.ai from any address with the subject "Delete my account" and the phone number your account uses, or call +255 719 007 163. We will confirm it is your account and delete it within 30 days. You can also ask us to delete some of your data without deleting your account.
